Why is nobody mentioning the naked dude
Check out the knobs on Phil's bass.
its capable of leveling the mightiest of structures.
Superb version of a song I had the pleasure of seeing performed live twice. However, I once saw on TV Jerry playing a solo acoustic version. Does anyone know of a recording of an acoustic version?
All I know is something like a bird
Within her sang
All I know she sang a little while
And then flew on
Tell me all that you know
I'll show you snow and rain
If you hear that same sweet song again
Will you know why?
Anyone who sings a tune so sweet
Is passin' by
Laugh in the sunshine, sing
Cry in the dark, fly through the night
Don't cry now, don't you cry
Don't you cry anymore, la, la, la, la
Sleep in the stars, don't you cry
Dry your eyes on the wind, la, la, la, la
If you hear that same sweet song again
Will you know why?
Anyone who sings a tune so sweet
Is passin' by
Laugh in the sunshine, sing
Cry in the dark, fly through the night
Don't cry now, don't you cry
Don't you cry anymore, la, la, la, la
Sleep in the stars, don't you cry
Dry your eyes on the wind, la, la, la, la
All I know is something like a bird
Within her sang
All I know she sang a little while
And then flew off
Tell me all that you know
I'll show you snow and rain
Nice to see a person wearing a Grateful Dead shirt in the background
The tradition continues!!
I cannot wait to get back to Boulder Canyon and play my liberating drum set!!
A drummer of the Denver blues scene!!
No one is dinking around with thier phones , as musical artists lay down thier craft before all .
Gives me goosebumps!
Jerry's Strat days were my favorite.
Grateful Dead and JGB stuff is just stellar playing.
They recently released a Jerry & Merle recording of lonely Avenue a few years ago and it's hands down the best playing I've ever heard from Jerry it's got the orange and blue cover on it Jan 23, 1973 I think.
The version of I know it's a sin on the Same album is also killer
What guitar is Jerry playing? Just after alligator pre wolf… We need this story
can't even begin to understand how lucky and grateful I am to be able to say that any single frame of video is available portraying the Grateful Dead in 1972. It's a hallmark of this civilization and I am here for it!
holy shit has anyone noticed Jerry dropping his guitar pick at 6:20, when he finds it again seamlessly into the next chorus?
Tucker Carlson sent me here
Eugene used to be a music town. I'm sure Jerry would agree. It's sad to see people just trying to keep doing the dead covers, he'd want people to move on to a new style of music I'm sure.
Thank you brothers and sister
is that iggy pop in the background?
I love life.
Whose grandpa is, uh… hanging out… in the top left corner?
Who invited the goofy nudist?
The greatest of all
wow I was at this show so amazing the dead said they never saw so many naked people at a show before
Too bad about the naked guy….it ruins the rest of the show.
It is my contention that, while the moon landings were mankind's greatest technical achievement, this particular gig represents our cultural peak.
This is one of the best examples of Grateful Dead being “on.” When they played like this, there simply was not a better band in the world.
there was a video of this particular 1972 show in full on youtube, it's so pity I cannot find it anymore.
The greatest band on the face of the earth….
Jerrycdrops his picj at 6.20
Bird is the word and this one is no turd. Maybe the best Bird ever? This show is nuts.
2:50 onward….the naked dude. Live free.
