NICE VIDEO
Nice vid man! Love that engine. Almost looks like it could just be a 2-6-0 because of how small those trailing wheels are
Looks like u couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for railfanning. That 2-6-2 looks like quite a gem.
Wow that is a great looking/sounding engine! You don't see many 2-6-2s around, and it's awesome this one is operating. I wanted to ask you bout that documentary you said you got to narrate. Is it train related, and if so, where can I get it?
7:52 hmmm someone’s been watching Colorado’s Scenic Train Rides lol
Awesome video and great 2-6-2!
Someone’s gotta put the song Ventura Highway in the background of a video about this engine
This will be the last year to get to see the Ventura County Railway no.2 in operation for a while as from what I have been told the locomotive will be taken out of service next year for its mandatory 15 year/1472 hour overhaul so depending on how much needs to be done on it it may be back the following year(2022) or it might be down longer than that. Also eventually there will be other operating steam locomotives at the Southern California Railway Museum as currently fundraising is underway for getting new boilers for both of our three foot narrow gauge(Ward Kimball) locomotives. Also there are volunteers who will eventually be taking on the the restoration of Union Pacific 2564 the 2-8-2 Mikado type locomotive that is in this video. Currently the museum has in its' collection a total of five steam locomotives. -Andrew W., Rail Operations, Southern California Railway Museum
